MARCH PROGRAM ANNOUNCEMENT “BUG RATING” Luminaire
Classification System for Lighting Exterior
Environments Join us in a review of the IES TM-15
guidelines that define a classification system for outdoor luminaires related
to photometric distribution. Cheryl will e cover thclassifications, evaluating
and comparing outdoor luminaire performance, and how this system helps to
evaluate parameters impacting light pollution. Speaker : Cheryl English Cheryl English is a Fellow
in the IESNA and has been active in the society for over 28 years, receiving the
Distinguished Service Award. Cheryl has a MBA and a BS in Architectural
Engineering along with her LC. She is currently with Acuity Products and is
responsible for energy and sustainability programs, industry activities, and
government relations.

is a Senior Sales Engineer at Lutron Electronics, Inc. and is part of the Residential
Interiors Team. Manny is a Past President of the IES New York Chapter, past
Chairman/Judge for the Lumen Awards Program/NY Chapter, a member of the DLF-NY,
and teaches a lighting elective at the Kyle Gotliebson
is a Lighting Control Specialist with Square D, with extensive experience in
specifying, commissioning, and validating advanced lighting control systems.
Kyle is active within the IES and is an instructor for the control segment of
ED-150, as well as being Past President of the West Texas Section and currently
District 4 Web Chair. Kyle is an instructor for BOMA and AIA lighting courses.

controls can lower energy use while providing a variety of options for
different at-home tasks, including family rooms, media rooms, home offices,
exterior security lighting and daylight control for Residential Projects. How
to engage with local contractors for installation and training, as well as
program “tweaking” on a long term basis. How Commercial Commissioning is becoming ever more important in ensuring that controls are properly installed and operated according to specifications. Participants will learn how to start a project with the right tools and how to design the project with controls in mind.
